Dave Chesson is not a philanthropist and does not like long walks on the beach?
…but he does like pina coladas.
When he isn?t being snarky, he likes to work on his fun filled self-publishing blog Kindlepreneur.com and call himself an ?author.?
A private blog network (PBN) can be a powerful SEO juice pumping machine.? In most cases, we build them ? or purchase them pre-made ? and then point them to our money sites and or use them to barter and trade for other links.
But what then?
Well, it turns out that a PBN and its persona can be a powerful tool in landing amazing guest post opportunities?and by opportunities, I mean sweet contextual links.
The Guest Posting Conundrum
The problem with guest posting is that in most cases you will not be allowed to drop a contextual link back to your own money site.? Most owners will either think you are biased for your own site, or just hog their own internal SEO juice.
Instead, you are normally confined to the ?biography? zone, which is basically worthless from an SEO standpoint.
Links in a biography pass some juice, however, they are nowhere near as good as a contextual link surrounded by sufficient words.
So, how does one get a guest posting opportunity and still be able to drop that sweet precious contextual link in the middle of the juiciest content?
PBN Persona?s to the Rescue
Let?s face it.? Being a PBN owner, you have an independent website at your disposal.
So, let?s use it!
The idea is that you contact a website that allows guest posting using your PBN?s persona ? email, facebook, discus, etc?
When you pitch your guest post idea, make sure to give them ideas that you know you can naturally place a link to your money site in.
Then once they accept your article idea, you write it and place a contextual link in the sweet spot or spots of an article.
For example, I have a persona setup through one of my PBNs.? I contacted a known site owner who accepts guest posts and submitted the idea of ?Why An Author Should Create Their Own Publishing Company.?? — my niche is in self publishing.
In this case, they accepted it and the whole of the article was focused on convincing authors of why their self publishing hobby should become a company.? With this article, it was extremely easy for me to drop a link to one of my money sites, which was on the steps to setting up a publishing company.
See how natural that was and why it would be okay to link to something like that?? Naturally, people will want to take the next step.
So with this, I got a super powerful contextual link and drove some awesome traffic ready to start setting up their LLCs using my affiliate link.
If I had done this using my real persona and my money site, they probably wouldn?t have allowed me to place such a nice link.
Pretty simple right?
PBN Personas and Ways Forward
Before contacting a site owner using your PBN persona, make sure your affairs are in order.
Ensure your PBN site is tip-top and legitimate looking.? Also, take a little time and ensure your articles are not spun content with grammar issues.? Site owners will check these things and many cases will ask you for articles you have written before.
Also, ensure you have a decent looking professional picture for your persona.? Many owners don?t want to see cartoons or pictures of animals.? They want a professional you.
So, be prepared and ensure your persona looks pretty legit.
As you can see, there is another reason for owning and maintaining a PBN.? They can pump out the juice, but they can also be used as an engagement tool to get more out of your guest posting.
But before you get out there and hussle the blog owners, make sure your PBN is looking pretty legit.? Get a persona setup and drive it home.
With this simple tactic you can improve your money site?s SEO, drive some nice traffic and even improve your PBN?s link profile as well.? That?s a lot of birds with one stone.
